"I'm in search of a scene"

A couple of weeks ago a local pub close to where I live called The Three Nuns hosted a small one day festival in their car park. The headlining band were The Queers… But the surprise of the day came when a local band from Nottingham called Teenage Casket Company got up to play an acoustic set which included an acoustic version of the D Generation song ‘Hatred’ from the album Through The Darkness. Needless to say that it made my day & it also went a bit further in proving my point that if you play D Generation songs acoustically, then there isn’t really much difference between Jesse’s solo work & the stuff he was banging out with D Generation… Remember, a musician never changes his spots, just his guitar!

You can see a video of Teenage Casket Company performing their full electric version of ‘Hatred’ at the Derby Vic by clicking on the link below:

Teenage Casket Company - 'Hatred' (live at The Vic 09.06.2005)

"Any town at all
Down on main street or the mall
As the new year's eve dropped
He was beaten by the cops
Full of hatred..."
